INSTRUCTION TO CUSTOMER


Translation

l A deposit (normally 60% of the cost estimate) would be required for any translation task from a first-time customer. In case of lengthy document, the customer will need sign the "Translation Task Memo" prepared by this Studio.

If customer wishes to have an advance idea of the translation cost of document to be submitted, the Studio may give such cost estimate free of charge upon submission of the complete document.

In case of any doubt on the part of customer about translation quality, the Studio may provide free translation of part of document for test purpose.

Any total price quoted and confirmed by the Studio for a single batch of document shall mean the final cost of that document, provided that no further variation occurs to the original document or translation requirement. Where the price is quoted for each thousand Chinese characters, the final cost of translation shall be based on the actual number of Chinese characters contained in the document.

When submitting document for translation, the customer should advise the background of the document and indicate the use of translation where appropriate, or in case of technical document, provide reference material where available.

The original document shall serve the final reference for any translation work and the rate of translation error shall not exceed 0.03%. The Studio refuses to make any deletion, addition or guesswork to the content of original text.

The Studio warrants that it will refrain from 5% of due translation cost for each delayed day after the guaranteed date of completion of translation.

Except the accuracy of translation, the Studio shall be indemnified against any legal or economic liabilities arising from use of the translation work.

返回页首 		Unless otherwise stated, the Studio shall reasonably keep confidential any customer-provided data. Where special confidentiality of document is required, the customer must notify the Studio to the effect.

Interpretation

For any interpretation needs, the customer would normally need to give two days notice and sign the "Interpretation Task Memo" prepared by the Studio.

The customer shall be responsible for necessary meals and accommodations as well as suburban transport for the interpreter.

In case the service is charged on the daily basis, the working hours of interpreter shall be between 8:00 and 18:00. For any continuing service after 18:00, the additional hourly rate shall apply.

返回页首 		In case the service is charged on the hourly basis, the service hours shall mean the time period between the interpreter's arrival at and departure from the place of service. Where the actual time of service is less than 3 hours, minimum 3 hours shall apply in charging.
